Steve & Jennie were very lovely. The dive spot was great & I enjoyed being able to explore the whole site. Definitely would recommend Red Monkey Divers to anyone visiting Miri & will come back for sure!

1.Website: The fact that the website layout is professional was a main factor that led to booking with RMD. The website is easy to navigate, displays relevant information in a clear and concise manner, and answers the vast majority of questions clients may have.
-2.Questions and Answers: Although the website did answer the vast majority of question we had, we still required further clarification on the way we needed to proceed and if we could customize the schedule to suit our needs. Jennie was very quick to respond to our questions and hand over communication to Steve to progress with more advanced planning. This was done in a virtually seamless manner. Furthermore upon arriving in Miri both Jennie and Steve made themselves available and passed by the hotel to introduce themselves and answer any final concerns we had. This gave RMD an image of professionalism and personal customer care.
-3.The Dives: (I will not factor weather conditions into this section since it is out of all our hands.) Both Asma and I came to Miri to dive after a 6 month dry period. I found that Steve took this information into account and scheduled dives that would allow me to complete my AOW and be fun at the same time. Steve managed this most professionally and made us both feel very comfortable in the water regardless of the condition. Additionally Steve actually read and corrected the review sections of the AOW Manual and tested me on the relevant material. Lastly the thorough briefs and clear instruction given to us prevented any incident in the water. Asma and I have are now more confident divers because of the experience we had in Miri.
-4.The Boat: Little Chili serves it purpose as it is. However minor changes can greatly improve this vessel. First, the step really needs to be removed (people who find it difficult to maneuver fully suited find it hazardous). Second, the floor of the boat must be covered in a nonslip material (this spiky perforated rubber material is rather common in mosques where the ablution is done, I’m sure more suitable materials are available.) Third, overhead handle grips would greatly assist divers stabilize themselves while getting to the dive platform. Forth, all locks on the floor that protrude must be covered. Lastly, Mark our boat man was fantastic. Asma and I found Mark very capable, attentive, observant and funny (Mark is the best part of the boat!)
-5.Equipment: We found no problem at all with the equipment. Even though I would not have used a dive suit, it would be better to stock up on more sizes for BCD’s and wetsuits. Also maybe the regulators can be changed to ones that don’t free flow accidentally. Otherwise all is fine.
My wife and I had a wonderful time indeed. We did more than just complete our objectives. RMD is both professional and friendly. Steve made us feel very welcome and comfortable. It was quite an experience. It is suffice to say that we are more confident divers today. We will defiantly come back. Thank you RMD.
